Paradise Island and Nassau are geographically situated southeast of Florida and there is always calm water for fishing. With any strong winds from the north light tackle fishing over the reefs on the south side is great with lots of action. You will catch barracuda, yellow tail snappers, Spanish mackerel, and muttonfish and a variety of other species.

Otherwise you can fish in the ocean on the north side. You would be fishing the continental shelf one-fourth mile away from land where the seabed drops off to 3000 to 5000 feet. Here you will hook into wahoo, tuna, dolphin (mahi-mahi), kingfish, and assorted billfish. After your encounter with your fish you can choose to bring it into the boat or release it.
